Hi.

Your Town Car Signature mounts a Motorkraft blower motor.

Here the resistor

Sometimes this small parts can be purchased for a cheaper price at a local spare shop.

Please do not forget to leave feedback.

Regards.

Why would my fan not be blowing hot or cold air?

You could have a relay that is bad , Blower motor relay in the under hood fuse/relay box. Or the blower motor itself could be bad . This is where you need to get a wiring diagram an a component location chart an a DVOM digital volt ohm meter an do some testing . The blower motor resistor , is this the part you changed ? If you haven't high blower operation either it couldn't be the blower motor resistor .

Heater blower fuse location for 1997 Toyota

There are a couple of fuses and a relay that deal with the blower motor. Below is a picture of the fuse panel layout (the fuse panel in the right side kick panel). The 2 red arrows are the locations of the 2 fuses I am talking about and the relay that is marked with the yellow arrow is the location of the blower motor relay. Hope this helps.....

Im tryng to locate the fuse for the a/c. for some reason the a/c stop working. i change the motor resistor, and was told to verify the fuse. Where can i find it?

Hi, the blower fuse is #13 in the box by the battery. There is also a blower relay there. If the fuse is good, try swapping the relay.

Heater has stopped working

(1) possible blown fuse.
Note that fuses blow for a reason - seek out the reason, or it will blow its new fuse too.

The main fuse block is located inside the left side of the engine compartment near the battery. There is also an interior fuse panel located just above the left side kick panel.

Interior Fuse Panel
The interior fuses simply unplug from the fuse panel. Use the fuse puller tool provided with your car to remove fuses from the panel. The tool is located on the back of the interior fuse panel cover.

(2) possible blower motor dead. See maintenance manual excerpt below.

(3) possible blower motor relay faulty. Location of Blower relay:
Under hood, drivers side, front engine area, rear of headlight housing; relay mounted on drivers side of radiator shroud.

See Figure below

archaeology_8.jpg
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the glove box and the underdash cover.
  3. Detach the electrical connectors from the blower unit.
  4. Remove the blower unit-to-fire wall attaching bolts and remove the blower unit assembly.
  5. Remove the blower motor fan-to-motor fastener.
  6. Remove the blower motor-to-unit attaching bolts, then remove the motor.
  7. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Heater blower motor not working and a/c not working as well, checked fuses blower motor has no power going to it, fuses checked good already changed thermister

The problem could be a relay that could be bad .It is possible that it is located in the fuse box in the engine compartment. It should indicate on the cover what the relays operate. These relays can be tested to see if working properly, but I would recomend that you allow a mechanic to test them since all relays are set up differently. Also if you have the manual for the car it should show in the fuse replacement where the fuses and relays are located.

Fuses and relays for blower motor

I don't know if this will help but the fuse box panel under the dash should show you the location of the blower motor fuse and the relays are beside the battery. You will have to take the relays to a shop to be tested. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.

Blower motor

the fuse should be located in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side. the relay will be located in the junction box under the hood. if you have a owners manual it will show which fuse is what and amprage. if these are good it could be a bad switch, however if you turned it on and heard a click i would say that your relay is bad. please rate this
