Question about 1994 GMC Suburban
It almost feels that the truck wants to stall out at a stop sign. Changed the plugs - they were all shot after six months, changed the fuel filter. Still having the same issue. Separate issue - selonoide on trainy needed to be changed. All these things keep going wrong on truck. Could it be a wire issue in the ECM or a EGR issue?
Its hard to say whether EGR or ECU.
I recommend you have the vehicle scanned for codes then do repairs the codes specify. Sound like your getting EGR at the wrong time or the valve is stuck or staying open. Not a real pain to test this thing and clean out its path with compressed air or carbon remover. Can be easily tested and freed up if stuck . most people replace them . But first lets see what codes say .
The ECU has to be tested according to spec's . I would let a repair shop do the testing. its a pain , and you need a ground strap and a good meter.Keep me posted had three of these in the last year 2 were the EGR and one was ECU . So in answering you question it could be either one need further testing.
