Hi:
I am not sure what you have done so far, besides the parts that you mentioned that you changed, but have you had your vehicle scanned to see what is causing the check engine light? Most auto parts stores, such as autozone, witll do this for free, and tell you what the code is. This way you can narrow your search as to what is causing the problem.

What causes power loss in a 1990 gmc 3500 Sierra 350 engine when start and going up hills

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter or air filter...common causes are air filter, or blocked air intake, dirty carb, bad plug, wires, distributer, distributer button, fuel filter, water in gas, old gas, plugged exhaust pipe and last but not least and believe it or not too much dirt under the gas peddle.... and in one case passing cable fell off the carb.

Stalling po103 po137

See thee attached link for P0103
For P0137 recommend checking for exhaust leaks prior to O2 sensor, check cat to see if its plugged if both are good replace the sensor... if issue persists you have a wiring issue or PCM issue.

My check engine light was flashing and the engine is running rough

a flashing check engine light indicates a misfire. depending on the vehicle it could be as simple as new spark plug wires

Engine won't stay running when going up hill. Engine wants to stall when under strain. Idles fine in neutral.

sounds like a cat convertor plugged up, maybe timing is off, needs tune up real bad??? Has it had new plug wires in the last 50k miles?

Your cat should last quite a while now it is replaced. I recommend testing coil packs and module. Change plugs and wires and double check your vacuum hoses.

Navajo seems to be straining under load, and the engine sounds "out of whack" on an older car I would have thought the distributor cap was slightly off line... Could it be something like this? Feels...

Hi this sounds like the fuel filter, They start showing signs underload while driving, Also bad plug wires and plugs will show signs underload, and you have a coil pack on that one? I have change many coil packs due to one cyl being week , you can pull the plug wires off the coil pack one at a time while it is running check to see that they all have great spark make sure you dont have a week one. that should give you a starting place also you can check the temp of the inlet and outlet on the cat see if it is greater than 100 diff cats can cause this but it is what made the cat go bad which is usually a tune up issue that made it go bad.

Engines stall shortly after starting

Disassemble and clean the carb, particularly the jets. I suspect the charge light being on is a result of your destroyed battery, which needs to be replaced. Sta-bil over the winter and a smart trickle charger will prevent the problems you are having in the future...

Chevy S10 Tail Light issue

CHEVY S-10 TAIL LIGHTS PROBLEM RESOLVED...It seems Chevy engineered a ground shorting clip located under the left rear bumper area. It looks like a connector for trailer wiring harness, but in actuallity is a metal shorting clip which ties 5 wires together. They are all the ground wires for the tail lights. Then one single small wire runs to ground completeing the circuit. Problem is that this one wire is not tough enough to be a strain relief for the grounding plug and over time the ground wire wears, leaving intermittent lighting problems. FIX IS TO SPLICE THE GROUND WIRE INTO ONE OF THE FIVE OTHER WIRES AND USE PLASTIC TY WRAP FOR STRAIN RELIEF. This fixes no tail lights, intermittent rear signals, and other significant problems. I just got done making this same repair on a 2000 s-10 and everything works fine. Since it is the strain on the single ground wire connected to the connector that leads to failure, it is best to tie a new ground or clip the ground wire coming out of the plug and resplice it into one of the other five wires. Does not matter which one since electrically it makes no difference; they are all gound wires. BUT only one wire completes the connection and that is the problem. Really good engineering Chevy! The location is under left rear of bed in wiring harness right before the split. The connector is blue or green. Take the cover off to see the metal shorting clip. Also note the ground wire coming out of the plug/connector and runs about 8 inches to frame. If this is not hooked up you will have tail light issues. If you register on Autozone .com you can access wiring schematics for free. BL

Check Engine light & slight hesitation

If you look under the cat. converter there might be a plug that you can remove to clean it out with.If you remove the plug then just rib - up the engine a time or two .That will clean it out for you.If the code that Auto Zone pulled up was PO420 then you might start by replacing the 02 sensor that's right before the cat. converter.
