My clutch locks occasionally when pushing in what could be the issue

It may be where the clutch pedal mounts on the bar at the top. Often plastic bushings are used to mount the pedal, and they can get worn or broken. You night feel a little catch when pushing the pedal down by hand.

Clutch pedal not returning occasionally

Check the linkage if it has one. If it has a hydrolic clutch, make sure it is full and there are no leaks. The clutch cylinder, if it has one, may be going bad. If it has a mechanical clutch, the linkage may need lubed or it could be binding on something.

What does a clutch pedal position switch do?

It tells the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) what position your clutch pedal is in (pretty much like the name implies). The PCM will not allow the starter to work unless the clutch pedal is in the down position. The purpose is to keep you from starting the engine with the clutch engaged so the vehicle doesn't jump forward and kill somebody when you twist the key.

My clutch pedal in my 1996 ford f150 goes to the floor and doesn't come back up. I flush the hydraulic line and refilled it. What could be wrong?

Hi,
The problem is the clutch master, it needs a new assembly.
Replace the clutch master assembly and piston inside don't retract anymore, rubber caps are already worn out. The cheapest way is buying a new set of clutch master kit( internal parts only ).
Bleed the system afterwards.

Hope that helps you out!

Clutch pedal goes strait to the floor??clutch won't bleed up??

It has air bubbles on the piping, fill the deposit with brake solution, and push and pull the clutch pedal with your hand it doesn't matter if it goes straight to the floor if that happens pull it with your hand, repeat that as if you are bleeding it up, then disconnect the piping beneath the car, the air bubbles will be forced out, then reconnect the piping and repeat the procedure, push and pull the clutch pedal like a 100 times, then disconnect the piping and reconnect. The clutch pedal should be able to go back when there is no air on the piping. If that doesn't work, replace your clutch pump

May be a bad pressure plate, because if it was the clutch hydraulics the pedal will go to the floor. Good Luck
