If you got those wires crossed(which fortunately is impossible) it would not run. Are you sure you got all the push rods put back into their proper place. If one of the rocker arms is still loose or the wrong push rod(one is about an inch loger) installed, you will get a misfire and you can do valve damage. You may have to tear it down again or take a compression test first to see which cylinder it is.

99 pontiac montana overheaten already changed thermostat what is it?

you have a GM common problem and that is a bad intake manifold gasket. GM change the gaskets to plastic and they crank and leak causing over heating. here is a picture of one i took from a 2005 pon. bonneville with 74,000 miles on it2_12_2013_3_00_09_am.jpg

My 2002 Pontiac Montana gets to hot in a short distance. I don't know what it is I have an idea it's either the thermostat or a blown head gasket not sure which one. So which one is it?

You would need to figure out if the thermostat is stuck closed, or not.
Most mechanics would either replace it or take it out and run the engine without it as a test. If the engine still overheats with the thermostat out, it could be a faulty water pump, restriction in the radiator, or other problems.
A blown head gasket should leak coolant out on the ground or into the engine.

What are the actual codes ?
Sounds like a problem with the crank and cam sensors.
And yes you could have a vac leak but that would not set sensor codes.

Car is running hot, hasn't overheated yet, added coolant and it is still running hot

It could be the thermostat. But more than likely the head gaskets are starting to leak and it will only get worse. Don't wait too long to have it repaired because antifreeze leaking into the cylinder will stick the rings, especially the oil ring.

I have a Pontiac Montana (2000). That on my way to work the low coolant level light came on. and after work when I started it up the light did not come right away but it came on and there was no heat and...

No. It is not the thermostat. You are just low on coolant. The reason for the low coolant is either the fan is not working, the head gasket is blown, or the coolant system has a leak.
The fan is easy to check. When the temp comes up then the fan should come on.
The head gasket is easy to check also. Your oil will be milky white.
And if the radiator, radiator hose, or gasket leak can be harder to find.
The heater not working is because there is not enough water to heat the heater core.
PLEASE RATE. By checking Four thumbs ups!
Thanks! Have a GREAT DAY!

I have a 2000 pontiac Montana. The problem is with the coolant

We have the same problem. It's an air pocket in the cooling system. The cause can be anywhere from not filling the system all the way or most likely a leak has developed and air has entered into the system as the coolnt level has dropped. The coolant light goes off and on as the air pocket moves around.

Our Montana has a leaky intake gasket, which is the source of the problem. A very common problem with the 3.4. It should go for another 100K plus though, once it is repaired.
