Your going to need professional help on this. PO606 is a PCM Failure. If other codes exist, fixing those items may save swapping out a new PCM.

The 13 is Volts,not AMPS

Its never to late to panic, but before you dive in check the battery.

If during the crank the voltage dips very low the state of the ECM can become erratic and trigger a limp home mode and throw codes..

Resetting the ECM (Engine Control Module) will likely fix the problem..

Check the battery make sure it is full charged and reset the ECM by disconnecting the battery or with a scan tool.
  • If the battery is defective it will happen again.
  • If the battery was partially discharged before the problem it may not occur again.

Following will give you some other diagnosis

P0606 code on 2003 Saturn Vue AWD 2.2l check engine light on

Hi there:
P0606 is a internal computer fault. Sometimes extreme hot or cold weather will screw up a computer.

P0606 - PCM / ECM Processor Fault
This code is a fairly simple one. It basically means that the PCM/ECM (powertrain/engine control module) has detected an internal integrity fault in the PCM. When this code is activated it should store freeze-frame data that helps someone with an advanced code scanning tool to get information on exactly what was going on with the vehicle when the P0606 code was triggered.

Most likely the only symptom of a P0606 DTC code is the illumination of the "Check Engine Light" a.k.a. MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp).

Cause: In all likelyhood the PCM / ECM has failed.

Possible Solutions: As a vehicle owner there is little you can do to fix this code. The most common fix for a P0606 code is to replace the PCM, although in some cases re-flashing the PCM with updated software could possibly fix this. Be sure to check for TSB's on your vehicle (Technical Service Bulletins).

In all likelyhood the fix is to replace the PCM. This is generally not a "do-it-yourself" task, although in some cases it may be. We strongly recommend you have a qualified repair shop / technician do the work, one that has the capability to reprogram the new PCM. Installing the new PCM may involve using special tools to program the vehicle's VIN (vehicle identification number) and/or anti-theft information (PATS, etc.).

NOTE: This repair may be covered under the emissions warranty so be sure to check with your dealer as this may be covered beyond the bumper-to-bumper or powertrain warranty period.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

My 92 taurus wont start, you turn the key all the power works, but no clicks,no sound, nothing.. I have checked all fuses, all good... has a new battery that is charged... Is there a relay or selonoid...

Start with your connections to battery and starter, Also check your ground from your battery. Make sure it's not working lose. Then you can check see if getting power to starter, If you are getting power to your starter and it does'nt turn over Replace starter, The selonoid comes with it . You can get a aftermarket "rebuilt" for about $40Good luck to you hope this helps some.

p0606 refers to the computer (pcm). unfortunately there is little to do without the proper test equipment when the pcm (power train control module) fails. it is possible that something caused the p0606 code to set other than the computer being faulty, i.e. wires broken; voltage incorrect etc. but this will have to be sorted out by a trained tech. read the information from this link to gain further understanding.

Dead battery . could it be a short?

Start with the battery, have it tested to see if it is good, then check alternator have it tested to see if it is charging. Any parts store checks these for free, you don't even have to remove from car if you can jump start and drive it there. Check belts make sure they are not loose or worn. You say dead battery, it could have a bad cell in it. You don't mention anything about what car is doing when you try to start it. Is it clicking? or doing nothing? Could be bad starter. Start with battery first......
