Question about 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck
Thank yo very much for the details. So the next three times that the engine light came on and you replaced the same spd sensor, did you reread the engine code to make sure it was still the same code?
Unfortunately it sounds like you have a short in the wiring harness.
You really need a scan-tool to go further, sorry. There are three wires one should be ground, one should be 5volts power, and the other is 5volts reference return to ECM. I'm sure if you had one you wouldn't be asking me for help but if you have a repair manual and a multimeter you may be able to narrow down the search or find the problem. Electrical problems can be so stressful. But you know the code, you know what it is affecting, now you just need some luck and track it down. Let me know if I can be anymore help.
