Question about 2007 Hyundai Tiburon
I want to replace the cabin air filter on my 2008 Hyundai Tiburon. I have removed the 6 glove box screws but it does not want to budge, I am afraid to break something. Is there a trick to getting the box out?
The 2008 Tiburon has two clips holding the glovebox in place, They are located near the midpoint of each side.
Work your fingers behind the top lip of the glovebox, starting in the middle and slide toward the left corner. This lets you get a grip at the top an bottom. Pop the left clip out straight toward the passenger seat. Repeat on the right side.
There is also a wiring harness tie wrapped to the back of the glovebox. You'll probably need a pair of dikes to clip this tie wrap. Otherwise the back of the glovebox won't drop low enough to clear the air filter. Pretty bad design if you ask me.
