Hello i have a 2000 durango 4.7 and my ac only works on one speed. when i put it higher or lower it shuts off. do you know where my resistor is located. i keep hearing different areas

Hello John---On the 2000 Durango the resistor should be directly underneath the passenger side glove box. So if you look directly up from underneath the passenger floor, you should see the long skinny rectangular wiring harness with one -8mm screw on each end...A 1/4" drive ratchet with extension and swivel joint will make it easier to reach and remove. A new resistor is a dealer item only i believe, that costs about $18...I hope this helps...good luck with your Durango.

Which side is bank 1 in dodge durango 2000 4.7 the driver side or passenger side

I assume bank 1 is the o2 sensors before the cat & bank 2 is after the cat. The various auto parts stores
are giving me conflicting info as one store says bank 1 is the left cat and bank 2 is the right cat.

Need to know brake wiring for 2000 dodge durango to hool to trailer

Depends on whether you have a set of trailer connecter wires, or if you have to tap in to the wiring for the lights on the car. I'm going to assume that you have several wires coming out of the Durango that are designed for a four wire trailer connector.

White - ground wire.
Green Right stop/turn
Brown - parking lights
Yellow - Left stop/turn

Here's a good explanation of other connectors, and some extra info.

Best wishes!

I need help

the turn signal is one unit in steering column. fix it buy purchasing turn signal part from dodge about 50 dollar part. you will need a special star bit with a punt in the end of it to remove old unit. takes about two hrs.
I manually use blinker, because I am always buying new part. wish dodge would get new supplier.

Need to change AC Resistor in 2000 Dodge Durango

Look on passenger side under dash area, where housing & floor meet, just about dead center. Blower should be right of where you'll see harness going to the resistor

My 2000 dodge durango turn signal lights stop working just recently. sometimes they would work and other times not, but now it just stoped.

A Mechanic told me my switch was broken, but the switch was working fine, the lights just stopped flashing. After some research and consulting with a male friend who knows more about this than I, we discovered it was only the turn signal flasher -- a $16.00 part. On the 2000 model, it's located under the dash, on a separate fuse panel I didn't even know was there. It's to the left of the steering column and right behind the main fuse box, but you can only get to it by going up under the dash. The green one is a little hard to get to, but that's the one for the hazard lights. Its easy to see with a good shop light. It's 1" by 1" ish. The turn signal flasher is below the green one. It's black and a little smaller, and much easier to get to. You simply unplug it and plug the new one in. Voila! There are other fuses on this panel -- I'm not sure what they go to, but I intend to find out so I don't waste money replacing parts I don't need to.
