As a transverse engine most shops undo the x member under the vehicle disconnect the exhaust from the manifolds and unplug the wiring harness, remove the air conditioner pump and drop the entire assembly out the bottom then you have free access to the entire drive train for maintenance

What motors will fit into a 1985 chevrolet s-10 without changing the whole front end

dont know all the possibilties , iknow you can put a small block in it with a kit ,sure most performance places sell them or reckon you put a v6 in it if you dont have one but if you get a electronic engine wiring will be a chore and you must get everything related to that engine including ECM unless you put a carb and intake on it which they make for a 2,8 v6 but pretty pricy

Dont know where to start with placing new plug wires on my '96 360 engine.I have the firing order, but where do I start my first plug wire? Do you have a diagram ?

Take the old wires off one at a time. Compare the old wire to the new wires and find the new one that is the same length as the old one. put the new wire on routing it exactly as the old one was routed. Move on to the next wire. As long as you replace them one at a time you can't mess anything up.

94 ford tbird rebuilt engine wiring harness plug too small

If the rebuilt motor is a twin of the original, use the original wire harness. Why would the motor have a harness on it?You usually keep everything, including your intake system and just get the long block.

Loud whining noise after the intake manifold was put back on

If its a sucking noise the intake is pulling air in somewhere. Try an old mechanics trick, get some wd-40 and crank the engine up then spray it along where the intake bolts to the block listen for any changes in the engine rpm. If you hear changes then the intake is pulling air.
Good luck and dont forget to rate.
