#1 if plugs and wires have never been changed i would at least change out the plugs.#2 if the fuel filter hasn't been changed out in a few years it also might need to be changed. run some Seafoam in your fuel tank you can get it from Autozone $10..it will clean out any dirty fuel injectors.
#4 check all vacuum hose connections on the intake manifold..they could be worn and cracked. hope this helps.

Replace thr distributor cap and rotor button. there is a crack that you cant see,and when it gets cold overnight, condensation enters iy and gts on the contacts causing a no start condition.
Just had this happen this past winter on a blazer.

Have a 1998 Chevrolet s10 that will not start in cold weather they replaced the fuel pump and coil pack ..they just can't find out why it won't start in cold

hello
if you go under the hood and look at the top of the engine near the upper radiator hose you will see a small sensor with two wires going to it, take the wire and clip off the sensor, try to start the engine, if starts replace sensor-if not jumper the two wires and try to start the engine again. if not the you should have the truck scanned for any codes that may exist.DO NOT CRANK ENGINE FOR MORE THAN 15 SECONDS AT A TIME TO TEST. good luck

Replaced the starter solenoid on my 83 Chevy S10 Pickup

Are you not getting voltage to the battery post on the solenoid, or the terminal for the wire from the key switch ?
You have a neutral safety switch between the starter and the key switch if that is the circuit in question.
Also take a look at the ground cable and connections.

YOU REPLACED BATTERY.BUT CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE RIGHT COLD CRANKING AMPS.AND CHECK BATTERY CABLES.MAKE SURE THEY ARE CLEAN AND TIGHT.IF BATTERY CABLES OVER 10 YEARS OLD REPLACE THEM.MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING RIGHT VISCOSITY MOTOR OIL.YOU SHOULD BE USING 5W - 30 ENGINE OIL IN COLDER CLIMATES.IF YOUR OIL TOO THICK IT WILL CAUSE ENGINE DRAG WHEN CRANKING IN COLD WEATHER.

Have 98 s10 blazer 4.3. when trying to start in morning cranks good wont start can put jumper cables on and it will take right off battery not dead or weak. after get started it will start rest day ok

sounds like you may have a bad ground cable. just as a test you can run a thick wire from the battery to the frame or another good ground on the engine see if this makes a difference if it does replace the ground cable.

1999 Chevy S10 cranks but wont start

A very common problem on the 99 S10 is a leaky fuel pressure regulator in the intake plenum. What happens is when the truck sits for a few hours or more the regulator leaks all of the fuel in the fuel injection system into the intake air plenum. This does 2 things, 1 it has no fuel pressure when starting and 2 it floods the air intake with raw fuel. Sometimes if you turn the key on wait 3 seconds then turn key off then turn key back on and just turn key to crank starter for a split second and wait 3 seconds.do this 3 times to repressurize fuel system then crank to start(you will hear fuel pump buzz each time you do this.also you may have leaky fuel injectors. Try to crank engine with the gas pedel to the floor. This will tell the computer to stop spraying fuel trhough the injectors and it will start. Joe ASE Master Tech
