Please correct me if I am wrong, but is your question...
If you replace the ECU will be able to start your car?

based on your post I can only assume that this was an older post you were updating but somehow became a new post.

Can you clarify please!

Do the crank sensor operate the fuel injectors?

Not directly no. The crank position sensor tells the cars computer, ECU, where the engine rotation is, and the ECU pulses the injectors at the right time, then fires the spark plugs at the right time.

The crank position sensor is mounted in various locations by different manufacturers. In my Camry it is on the distributor shaft ! In your car it could be on the crankshaft nose or in some other place.

Where is the crank sensor located in an 89 Dodge Daytona

The info I looked at was for 2.5L engine, non-turbo.
If you have distributor, you don't have one. You may have a sensor inside distributor. Because the distributor usually works off the cam shaft, they don't call it a crank sensor.
Now, if you have a coil pack, you do have a crank sensor, some I've seen are on the tranny bell-housing. Or at the cranks shaft pulley in the front.
I did look at online partsbook for the engine I listed, no crank sensor listed.

1990 nisan n13 motor 1.6, has no spark to coil i drove car to train station, when i got back the car would not start, replaced coil, distributor, ecu box, all fuesible links, plugs & plug leads, fuel...

Your car has both a crank and cam position sensor. First start with your crankshaft position sensor. It is located by the harmonic balancer on the front of the motor.

1991 civic crank angle sensor

The crank angle sensor use the flywheel teeth for timing at that vintage. I have had the teeth gotten chipped from years of use and cause misfire. The recommend procedure would be to change fly wheel. But that's not for the faint of heart.

I need to find the crank shaft sensor on my 91 honda accord 2.2 16 valve. if you would please send me a diagram of where it is.

It's located inside the distributor. It would probably be better for you to change out the entire distributor that to go digging around inside it. The cost of an entire distributor, as opposed to changing all the sensors located inside, it's cheaper to replace the entire unit. The other sensors in there might also be on their way out, being so old.

Location of crank shaft censor

Assuming a 3.0 V6; the crank sensor is actually located in the distributor. The 3.0 V6 makes use of small LED lights and a spinning disc located in the distributor. This disc has small holes in it when the holes pass by the proper point the light passes thru telling the ECU to spark and injector pulse. If you have no spark I'd check the ECU too; early 90's Mitsubishi ECU hasd poor capacitor in them, they tend to leak with time. If you do have to replace the ECU be certain to use the same MD number found on it.
If I may be of further service please let me know.

No spark, 1988 Toyota Camry 3SFE 4cyl, 5 speed.

there is no crank sensor on this vehicles 2.0L. If you have power to the coil, new coil, cap and rotor try this if not done yet>>>Unplug coil power first....Try pulling off the distributor cap, and make sure the rotor is spinning with the cam...If this fails to spin, inspect the entire distributor assembly. If it passes, Inspect all the power circuit and wiring to the dist assembly, if ok possible ecu. i recommend having a mechanic check it out!! Hopefully this helps...please rate...thanks
