I am having a big problem to find a wiring diagram for my Bronco 79. where do I find the best site to download a complete diagram.

go to autozone site and register,then look under repairs and find the vaccume diagram for what ever year!

the shims are not why you go thru starters. Usually its caused because the heat shield was not reinstalled or the wiring is bad. Bad wiring causes the stater to draw lots of amps leading to overheating and damage. If the truck runs go to a repar shop and have them do a starter cranking test. If it passes then I would be looking for a heatshield if missing

the most common thing people over look is the safety switch in the tailgate it is either on the bottom of the handle or the drivers side latch you can replace it or run a jumper wire
