Alot of those will do that because of out of adjustment or damaged door/tailgate/slider door ajar switches.the switches on all but tail gate are adjustable. quick check for adjustment is to place several layers of tape on the door were the switch contacts it and drive to see if it quits if so remove one doors tape at a time untill problem comes back and just replace that switch.
also there are switches on the backside of the door key lock cylinders on all doors. they fail quite often to. try ajar switch test first. if no results then i would replce the drivers door lock switch first because it gets used most part is pretty cheap but you do have to remove the door panel to get at it

Window motors sounds

It sounds like the power locks are making the noise to me. First the power going to the window gets shut off when you shut off the key. Second the window will not make noise unless the cable for the window regulator is broke, then the window will go down and stay down or up and wont go much of anywhere. Try to hold the power lock button and listen for the same noise. Most of the time the one of the switches go bad and keep trying to lock the car. Its usually the one that wont lock or unlock.

Central locking locks keep going up and down and not locking doors

The actuator could be bad inside the doors.
If they keep going up and down by themselves, you have a problem with the power door lock module, maybe.

When I lock the doors on my 2002 Saturn SL1 the power door locks do not engage all they do is click but eventually stops but the doors will not lock or unlock using the power lock switch, How do I fix this...

Use WD-40 or similar penetrating spray & use the little red nozzle & get in behind & down sides as much as you can at door latch assy on doors. You may even find a slot right by the latch that you can stick nozzle in to spray all over. On front doors with key slots, push nozzle into key slot as far as you can & spray good while pulling nozzle out slow. Keep working them by hand at afirt until you feel them get a little easier, then start hitting power button up/down a few times & keep working it until they free up. If/when you've got them working again, spray same way, only with some "white lithium spray grease" to keep them lubricated after. I've had to resort to removing door panels to get at seized linkages in there before, but quite often, this will work. Keep me posted on results.

Power door locks

its the Door jam switch one of them is most likely Damaged~
you can change it your self if you feel up for it or tell the mechanic to do it~

oh door jam switches are those button type things that press down when the door is closed kinda like the thing in your fridge that turns off and on the light so just look at all of them and find the one that is broken and change it out just go to the dealership for the part (if you want to save some money)

or you can yell at the shop for not finding it and make them feel stupid that you know what the problem is and your not even a mechanic so they do it for free~
