Question about Pontiac Grand Prix

Air does not work and auto headlights turn off when I try the air

When I try to turn on my heat/air nothing will come out of the vents, no matter what setting I have it on. Also, when I try to turn the air on my automatic headlights (DRL also) turn off by themselves, even when pitch black outside. Any ideas on the problem?

You might have a short in the blower motor. or a short in the switch. anyway, you probably need a blower motor.

Possible speed control is open circuit or the fan motor. Check you have supply to the switch/motor.

With AC on only the driver receives cool air. The passenger side receives hot air from the dashboard vents. The car was spent the summer stored in the Arizona heat. When started the headlights would not...

There's a possibility that the AC vents are jammed. Try to expose the system behind the dashboard and if nothing else works try to loose them by hand. Then lubricate the moving parts and also your mate could enjoy the cool.

Climate control is on defrost only the auto

Check your vacuum pump located on the right side fenderwell. see if its running. Check the vacuum hose at the hubs for leaks or damage. repair if damaged. check for other vacuum leaks such as the grey hose going to the heater control valve.

Hot air always, no matter what temp control is set at(1993 Buick)

There is a blend air actuator on the passenger side that causes the blend air door to stay open to heat no matter what. It's below the left side of glove box, facing dash, and you can work it by hand and get it to close. If that works, get a new one. They're very easy to install.

you might check to see if theres air coming out at the floor level or the windshield level..if so you have a stuck regulator for the air control
