Question about 1996 Ford Windstar
Only internal transmission parts and solonoids that your average joe should never attempt to pull apart. ive been a mechanic for 10 years, and i wont go near an automatic transmission! they are evil! it might just need a fluid and filter change, and it might need a rebuild...only a transmission shop can diagnose those problems, and those are the only places i would even let near my transmission! todays trans. are all electronically controlled via an ECM (engine control module) which can also be having problems. it's impossible to diagnose correctly without looking inside the transmission, so id take it to the closest tranny shop and have them take a look. hope this helps.
