Question about Pontiac Trans
Knock sensors do not have resistance values, that is not how they work, they are what is called a Peizoelectric sensor, this means when they vibrate from any knocking in the engine from pre ignition/detonation it generates a small current, a Resistance check is not how they are diagnosed, you must read the Output of the sensor with a scanner that reads live data and watch the knock sensor output signal, have been doing this type of diagnostic work for 35 years and i am sure on this.
