Question about 2000 Saturn Ls 4dr Sedan
If you can hear a faint click sound as the steering wheel is returned to the centered position, then my solution may apply. This type of problem was found on a 1997 Dodge Neon. There are two issues on this car. There are a pair of reset tabs that rotate with the steering column. They can move out of position because they are part of an assembly that latches into position. When the assembly is snapped back into position this may resolve the problem. In my case it allowed the turn signal to reset in one direction. Next, I cut a short 0.3" section of 0.25" I.D. aluminum tubing and notched and shaped it to fit over the cam on the end of the reset lever on the turn signal assembly. I crimped it so the piece could not fall off. This made the reset lever cam slightly wider and allowed it to be pushed a little further by the reset tabs. This has worked very well.
