SOURCE: i have a ford focus zetec 2004 p reg ive locked my

you will not open it with that ,it has a shroud around the lock mechanism ,pull the top of the door back and wedge it ,then use a length of bailiing wire to open the opposite door by pulling the handle back .sometimes i can do it via the back door and open the front one on the same side ,but it is time consuming but not difficult

SOURCE: my keys are locked in

if you are careful it wont hurt anything, but some cars are hard/impossible to slim jim. I would call a locksmith or maybe the dealer can cut a new key if they have the VIN or Key Code.

SOURCE: Locked out of my mustang. Have

Depends on the year. Some just do not open with the traditional slim Jim. Some you have to use a rod and physically hit the "unlock" on the door. Stick a wood wedge or an inflatable bag included in some kits between the window and the door so you can see down and look for the linkage that pops the lock. You hook that linkage and **** it up and it will pop the lock. That for the more traditional slim jim usage. If you have to use the rod to hit "unlock" then put the wedge or inflatable bag on the side of the window between the door and frame of the car door to separate. You have to bend that rod just so. It may take a couple tries. Good luck.

How to unlock 1998 mustang with a slim jim?

When you slide the slim Jim in between the glass and the door skin line up your slim Jim so it points towards the door lock button. Gently lift up while watching the door lock button. If you see it wiggle you are on the right track. You may have to bend the slim Jim a little to get it to hook the correct rod. Be patient and you will get it. It take a little practice. I used to repo cars and was pretty good at it. Like I said just keep at it.

Locked out of my mustang. Have a slim jim. how does it work?

Lots of things inside your door that a slim Jim can destroy. But basically slide it between the window and the rubber seal at the bottom of the glass. The idea is to hook onto the door lock linkage and pull up or push down. I'd really recommend letting a professional do it with modern lockout tools. Very easy to break stuff with that tool.

Removing the headrest on a 2000 ford mustang gt

1. Lift headrest and headrest support bars trim all the way up.

2. Insert tongue depressor (or slim jim) down the front side of the headrest bar. Push depressor down as far as possible. When the depressor is beneath the headrest trim piece, push headrest all of the way down.

3. Lift headrest to remove.

Lift the headrest to it highest postion. Insert a thin stick parallel to the head rest bar (the side facing the rear of the vechicle) I used a thin paint stirring stick, a Slim Jim is ideal.
Once the stick is inserted (10" give or take) push the head rest down holding the stick steady, then pull the headrest back up and it will come off the seat.
Hope this helps.
