Question about 2002 Land Rover Freelander
First off remove belt and cam wheels . install inlet cam wheel on inlet cam or rear one if standing in front off car. by looking at wheel and locating the in word this will bolt on to cam with in on locating pin and on the exhaust cam is same route ie, ex on locating pin , now rotate cam wheels until the ex on both wheels are to the rear of the engine and in is facing front, the two dots should now be facing each other. now to the crank, with pully off the crank you will see two little dots on the crank sprocket these will go either side of the rib on the oil pump housing , a tool called the rover camshaft locking tool will aid you in putting the belt on as the valve spring tension will spin the cam round just as you,ve almost got the belt on , and you have got to line up every thing again , exept remove cam spockets.
