Whats left of the key cylinder? Is it still in place? if it is or isn't... if you can turn it with a flat head screw driver to the "start" position then your in good shape. Chances are you have a transponder chip (a theft deterrent, probably why they weren't able to steal your car) built into you key... try to crank it with the screwdriver and place (the top of) your key near the cylinder so it can pick up the signal. as for replacing the cylinder... that's a bit more tricky, i would bring it to a dealership and try to get your insurance to cover it....

I am afraid its a security issue probably, after the ignition was replaced, security system may need reprogrammed by the dealer or a good tech. with necessary software.

Someone tried to steal my car and popped the ignition, also causing damage to the black thing connected to the immobilizer. I have replaced the steering column, but car still will not start. Everything...

You need a new immobilizer and then have it and the keys reprogrammed to your car.
Here's a company that has pages and a description of how to rebuildthe ignition and lower portion of a Jeep (or Dodge) steering column. The removal of the lock cylinder is alsoincluded. They are broken down into stepby step detailed instructions on their website.

Someone tried to steal my car my ignitiong was popped, now my car wont start

THAT CAR HAS A THEFT STYLE IGNITION COLUMN IF IT WAS DAMAGED ITS NOT GOING TO START THERE IS A MODULE THAT HAS TO MATCH UP WITH THE BCM IT SENSES THE KEY AND SENDS A SIGNAL TO THE COMPUTER TO START.THEIR ARE THINGS YOU CAN DO LIKE REPLACING THE COLUMN AND TAPEING THE OLD KEY TO THE OLD THEFT MODULE SO IT FOOLS THE CAR DO NOT HOOK UP THE THEFT MODULE ON THE NEW COLUMN BECAUSE ITS DIFFERENT. OR YOU COULD BUY A USED COLUMN HAVE A FRIEND INSTALL ..ITS NOT A SUPER HARD JOB THEN HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY WILL CHARGE YOU TO REPROGRAM IT TO START.100 BUCKS MAYBE ID WOULD CALL F IRST.

Someone try to steal my 2000 deville and messed the ignition up ,i went to the junkyard and replaced the ignition with the key and now my car won,t start

The cadillac has a factory security system that has been triggered. You will have to take it to a Cadillac dealership to have it repaired. Or you could bypass the system with an aftermarket product. There is a company called newrockies. Look them up on the internet to find out more about their product.

How do i bypass the antitheft on my 2007 galiant .someone broke my ignition switch can i bypass it without replacing the ignition. the car tries to turn over but will not start.

no, you cannot bypass it. If it were easy any theif would have access to steal any car. Only way to clear the lockout condition is to repair the problem

You'll need a new ignition switch. After installation, the dealer can either reprogram your old keys or you can buy a new key and have it programmed.
