Question about 2002 Dodge Intrepid
Someone tried to steal my car and they popped out the ignition switch and now it won't start with the old ignition switch and key how can i replace it or get my car stated
Whats left of the key cylinder? Is it still in place? if it is or isn't... if you can turn it with a flat head screw driver to the "start" position then your in good shape. Chances are you have a transponder chip (a theft deterrent, probably why they weren't able to steal your car) built into you key... try to crank it with the screwdriver and place (the top of) your key near the cylinder so it can pick up the signal. as for replacing the cylinder... that's a bit more tricky, i would bring it to a dealership and try to get your insurance to cover it....
