I have a 1996 tacoma, have had a problem with a fast idle, i took it to toyota and they said it was the throttle position sensor so i replaced it with a new one. still have same problem, if i tap on the sensor with a screw driver it will idle down, but never on its own, it idles anywhere from 2000 rpm to 1300, just wondering if anyone has any ideas, toyota also had me replace the idle control valve but still same problem.

Tap on the mass air flow, and see if it changes idle,if it does,it is the problem,If the throttle position has to be tapped on,then it could be defective, change it out for a new one.

Where is the Clutch Adjustment located on a 1996 Toyota Tacoma?

Hi,
The adjustment is in the clutch slave push rod and master( where the pedal push rod attaches the master cylinder ) if it uses a hydraulic type.
If it is cable type, the adjustment is on the cable front of the firewall, where the cable comes out from bulkhead.

Hope that helps!

I replaced the oxygen sensor on 2004 Toyota Sienna; now it idles too fast. Part was difficult to remove. Could I have damaged something getting the part out? Where is adjustment for idle speed?

idle speed adjustment is most probably not the problem, what most likley happened is you loosened a vacuum line in the process of removing the o2 sensor. try listening for a hissing sound. or spraying around with some carb cleaner to find the location.
