You will have to buy the whole window regulator assembly. Very common on alot of cars. Check ebay usually can get pretty good deals on them.

Need to fix the cabel in the passenger side front window. it poped loose and window won't go up, but the cable itself is not broken and the motor is working.

The cables RARELY break. What breaks is the plastic guides in the window regulator that guide the cables. The only way to fix this is to replace the window regulator.

The passenger side window, something broke down in the door, the motor for the power windows still works, but there is nothing holding the window up? What broke? Is it a do it yourself job to fix it?

Its the window regulator thats broke. Most are made with plastic brackets and cable. The plastic breaks and the cable goes nuts then nothing is holding the window. You need to get a regulator, if you can take the door panel off you should be able to handle installing the window regulator.

We have a 1999 Grand Cherokee Jeep. The window on the passenger side snapped, fell down and is not working. The plastic unit that holds the cables broke letting the window slam down and it jammed the gear...

If this is what I am thinking of it is called a window regulator. Which consist of a frame and the window motor. Usually they only sell this as one unit. which makes it quite a bit more expensive and most of the time the motor will work just fine.

white molding did it have gears on it? if so it;s the window regulator. and can be purchased at your local car shops like auto zone or pep boys even

the problem relates to this part please read the page to get a general idea of the cause. it;s cheap plastic part that failed and doped the window cable. here is the site.

2002Beetle Power Windows constantly breaking, looking for parts

You have 2 options..........1) go to the nearest junk yard and purchase the assembly as they probably won't sell you just the plastic pieces or.......2) try the dealership as those pieces are more than likely a dealer item only.

Window fell into the door

These cars have a window regulator that is made with a cable and a plastic wheel that the cable rolls around. Once it wears out you need to replace the whole regulator, it comes with new motor. Look on ebay, cheapest way to buy a new one. You can take off door panel and push window back up and wedge or vise grip so it wont fall back down.

2000 oldsmobile alero gl 2.4 l engine, passenger window fell off the track. Removed door panel and white plastic clip is broken. Window won't stay up. What parts do I need? How do I fix it/

The window regulator is what causes the plastic clip to break. I had the same problem. I was able to find a new clip at advanve auto parts, and had to purchase a regulator which includes the motor from ebay. There were many diffrent options out there. Total cost was about $60.
