I would think somewhere between 200k-300k miles before you have to do something like rings... but still, it really depends in how good care of the engine do you have.

U may locate oil filter 4 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2 way's.

1.) Open 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Glove Box, remove the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee owners Manual from glove box. Open owners manual to index page, locate oil filter page.

2.) Secure 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee from moving fowards or backwards by blocking wheels in front and back which will NOT allow movement of said 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Using a small person of average build, average height, average weight, average intelligence, average physical appearance, move average said person with said average features of above near the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, instruct said person to physically crawl under vehicle while laying on said person backside, (**** scraping on average dirty ground or average dirty filthy oil filled garage floor filled with oil filled kitty litter. I need to change the fule filter in my 2002 jeep cherokee


yes, its in the tank,and yes you must drop tank to replace,now this filter is good until the life of the fuelpump, theres no need to replace it unless your replace the pump,or if someone put something in the tank, ive worked on many and never replaced that filter, the only time ive replaced it is if i was doing the fuelpump. hope this helps.

First check the security system by locking and unlocking the passenger door with the keys. Then make sure you are getting spark to the plugs.

Check out all info on Edmunds.com There should be a detailed list if you wanna go by the book. If youre wanting to keep it simple just do the major items

Replace trans fluid and filter
Have gear oil checked in rear-end and transfer case
oil change (preferred synthetic and performance filter)
air filter (high performace)
spark plugs and wires
have ball joints and u-joints checked and entire undercarriage greased
change all o2 sensors (helps with mpg)

That should be penty good enough for another 20k miles before major check up. Stephen
