I have a 1992 Honda Accord LX, a 5 speed. Once you start the car, it'll turn but a second or two, it'll die out. Can the distributor be the problem?

Replace the pgmfi relay (main relay), it's up under the drivers side dash and has "mitsuba" written on the side. They were a common problem, relatively cheap and really just maintenance after this long. If that doesn't solve your problem, you'll need a new distributor.

check your fuel filter its probably clogged does not let enough gas to get to the engine for high rev. also check the fuel pressure it could be low. means bad pressure regulator.

Ignition coil, transistor, rotor, distributor cap or other component in ignition circuit like ignition switch- may crank but no spark. In that order. Good luck.

Ok if you have spark from the coil to the distributor cap, the rotor inside the distributor cap is bad and needs to be replaced, This is the only possible answer.

The computer is located under the carpet, passenger side, where passengers feet would be. If the water was up to the console, your computer was doing the back stroke, and I'm afraid it drowned. Sorry! countrycurt0
