No, the tail shaft is too long, and the shift points and converter clutch engagement will be all wrong.

You need one out of a TA or camaro for shift calibration to be right.

Can I switch out the 700 r transmition for a turbo 350

as long as u get a turbo 350 trans that is the same length from bellhousing to tailshaft u should be able to. the only thing is the 700r trans has a t.v. cable to control the shift where as the 350 has a vacuum line that goes to the modulator on the side of trans. if your not 4 wheel drive u might have issues w/ speedo being electric vs. cable

Will a chevy 350 engine bolt to a 1989 cadillac with a 307 olds curently in it

It's not a direct bolt in. (sorry) Olds mounts and housing aren't even close. Just about any olds motor (you can find them at any salvage/engine rebuilder pretty reasonable) will bolt in. It would take alot of work to work the chev into Caddy.

1984 chevy 1/2 ton pick-up either 350 or 400 trans dont know which reverse gear works but no 1,2,3 seems to try to move but wont

Sounds like you need a new transmission. It can only be one of two things: Transmission is old and needs replaced or the torque converter is bad. But if your going to replace the torque converter you might as well make sure you have a good transmission because you have to drop the transmission to get to the torque converter. No point in droping the transmission and replacing the torque converter to find out you need to drop it again because the transmission is bad. You should be able to drop the transmission is a few hours. You only have 3 bolts on the fly wheel and one bolt for the transmission mount and about 6 bolts connected to the engine. Then you have your fluid lines speedometer cable and drive shaft. And your dip stick.

What transmission come out in a 1983 chevy silverado

It should be the 700 r4 transmission with the 350 block,
unless someone changed it out, it could be a turbo 350, if the truck is a 3/4 ton.
if you have 3 gears and over drive it is a 700 r4
only 3 gears turbo 350

Hello! i have a 1989 GMC sierra 1500 2 wheel drive 350 engine, and i would like to know what size transmission does it take? the one i have in the truck now it will go into reverse but not drive, it leaks...

I would try replacing the transmission filter and fluid. There 2 different transmissions that came in the truck, a THM 400 3 speed, 13 bolt fluid pan, and a THM 700-R4 4 speed, 16 bolt fluid pan.

Tuned-Port Injection problem

If foreign matter is inside the intake manifold the intake manifold must be removed to clear out all debre or damage to the intake valves and pistons will occur, use a strong vacuum and a long magnet to extract any debree from the intake ports after removing the intake manifold, and then blow out all passages on the intake manifold itself with compressed air to remove debre before reinstalling the intake manifold, make sure you drain the coolant before removing the intake manifold also before attempting this job it is a good idea to purchase a Haynes repair manual to walk you through the procedure.

Transmission for 1988, 350, conversion van

A turbo400 trans will bolt up but you will have to change the drive shaft as the output shaft is longer than the 350 trans. There will be no trans exchange with a different type that will fit without some modifications.
