1998 chevy blazer running really rough. It used

1998 chevy blazer running really rough. It used to ruh fine for a while, then after about 20 minutes starts losing power. Now it want go over 35 mph at anytime and loses power and comes to a stop.have replaced the spark plugs and wires, ignition coil, O2 sensor, map sensor, EGR valve, mass air intake sensor, fuel pump, and fuel filter. Does any one have any answers before I light a match to this thing.

I had a similar problem and just happened to unplug the temperature sensor for the computer and the engine started running smooth.
So I replaced the temperature sensor and all was well!

Most likely non of what you replaced was bad. You don't have any troubleshooting or diagnostic skills. My suggestion would be to take it to a professional or light a match to it.

Heater core is probably plugged.remove the heater hoses from the heater core and flush the core both ways.Be careful not to drown the distributor cap as this may cause the vehicle to run rough after.

I have a 1998 chevy blazer that the calapers wont reless complety and soft peadle.I put a new master cylender on and blead the system.the braks worked fine for about 4hr and the problem is back. the blazer...


sounds like calipers are siezing up- the rubber inside the caliper sticks to the piston and will not allow it to return--given the right conditions the abs could also do this but have not seen it in my 20 years experience

Runs rough first 20 minutes then clears up!


a new oxygen sensor can clear that up . also check all hoses and connections around intake u could have a leak causeing more air to enter the efi thuse telling the comp to give more fuel .ruining your OS if you noticed a drop in fuel milage there is something wrong

Engine just quits while driving.


Check fuel pump...when beginning to fail, they tend to lock up till they cool down.
