Not going to be a fuse problem. There is a low pressure switch that won't let the compressor damage itself. Hopefully you just need the system charged. It is not unusual for mobile a/c system to lose freon. I would shop around for a good price or buy a can of r-134 from nappa. ask them to recommend an inexpensive dispensing tool to go with it.You start the engine and turn the a/c on high then attach the tool to the low side ( it should have an L on the cap ) also the low side is a larger tube then the high side. Maybe best to locate both caps first and makle sure you can identify one is attached to a much smaller tube then the other. If you attach to the high side you could cause the can to burst. I do't mean to scare you the people at napa or a parts store could help make sure which is which they deal with all the time to sell the right parts to fix a/c systems. One can is 12oz and should get the system working or you can look for an independant shop that is reasonable. Freon is cheap and it takes about a half hour to do this right. if this helps please reply and good luck
