The seatbelts have a safety feature that locks them after a collision. There is a pin that moves into position and keeps them from moving to keep yopuin your seat. It is possible to remove the seat belt and disble this function but what if you get in another situation where you need it. It would be about the same amount of trouble to get a use one from a salvage yard and replace them. It is possible to find the same color too. If this helps please reply and good luck

You have to replace them with new. the seat belt pretensioners have gone off and are not resettable. contact your insurance company if you were covered. it should have been done along with the body work

Drivers side seatbelt is fully locked and will not engage so it can be extended and utilized. Is there any simple fix

not really there is a check ball in these, that work with the movement of the car (easiest way to say it) so when you start to come to.a stop, this check ball moves and locks the seatbelt , if your car was in.a.accident then.have it replaced, but if not and you are pulling on it and it is staying locked, then the safest thing to do is replace the seatbelt

How do i unlock my seat belts on my 2006 malibu after car accident

You can't unlock the seatbelts. They have an explosive charge built in that goes off like an airbag, locking up the belts on impact. You will have to replace all your locked up seatbelts.

2008 magnum, has been in an accident and the seat belts are locked

Not 100% sure but a lot of dodge products have electric seatbelts that won't pull out without battery voltage. Check the underhood fuse box of a fuse marked seatbelts to see if it blown. Check your owners manual in the seatbelt section.

Seatbelt Unlatches

This sounds like something broken in the latch. Do yourself a favor. Before it comes unlatched in an accident, go to your local dealer and get a replacement latch ASAP. That is one device in a car you shouldn't ever have to question. If it doesn't work right, replace it.
