I have a 2006 Pontiac grand prix when I start my car at night my high beams willbe on instead of my regular lights I could jiggle the switch then they would go to regular mode

This is a common problem, you need to replace your multi-function switch. It controls your turn signals, brights, and cruse.

While driving Down the road sometimes the lights would turn off while switching from brights to dims and now we no longer have no dims at all just brights.

I had a similar problem with my 2002 chevy impala, it was the BCM Module, Costed about $680 to replace it from the dealership, the Dealership has a special tool to replace the old BCM because it has your car information and it has to be put on the new BCM.

What is wrong when the high beam lights doesnt go off? i have to disconnet the battery so that its not drained

While this will not "fix" the problem, it may alleviate you having to disconnect the battery. Once you have turned of the car, use the headlamp switch to the left of the steering wheel to turn on the lights manually. Then push the switch back in, and the lights will turn off. If the high beams will not turn off, it is possible that your multi-function switch has gone bad. This is a costly repair, and should be properly diagnosed by a certified service professional prior to replacement of the switch.

2000 impala-low beams don't work but high does

sounds like the problem is the dimmer switch, get a price on the dimmer switch. If you have to, get one at a junk yard . It's cheaper.

Headlights won't go on; brights, parking lights OK

Hello,I see you have a problem with your low beams inoperative. It sounds as if your multi function switch has either gone bad. If you will dim and brighten your lights the switch may go back to working. You have to shake it in all directions. If they come back to working you will want to replace the switch as soon as posible on this car. Please rate this answer, Thank you.

Jetta headlights not working

Ignition switch will cause you to loose your head lights and turn signals. You will still be able to start the car and hold the switch for your brights but normal function is gone. Check it out it usually only runs about $20-$30 for replacement part but you need a special puller to get to it.
