Cosmetic damage in first month

While reversing in a parking lot at night my venza touched a poll in a parking lot and got a big bent near hood.
Any one of you knows the cost to repair it?

I manage a body shop, is it your hood or trunk, I can tell you after that, just confused, because you said you where in reverse.

96 chevy s10 stuck in park

Sounds like a bent linkage or needs adjustmentent.
I think there is a rod that goes from the shifter to the transmission and this will have a set-screw which allows you to set the travel distance. Sounds liike it's bent or moved. If i'ts a cable then the cable is frayed [probably near the shift stick.

Bought a grand maquise gs was rear ended and the whole back is pushed in and down about how much should it cost me to restore it

A big fistful of dollars, and that probably not enough. Check if the frame got bent. That would be added expense for a shop to force frame back into proper position. If all just cosmetic damage, whew, still expensive. Have a shop give you an estimate, and go from there.

02 explorer will not go forward or reverse

Hi there:
I would suspect it is the shifter not the cable or the transmission to rule out the trans from under the explorer on the drivers side near the pan is the shift linkage disconnect it by prying the ball and socket apart and rotate the lever through the gears to the rear is park then one forward is reverse then N,D,3,2,1 when pushing the lever into park it will feel spring loaded if the parking pawl is not perfectly lined up this will line up if it rolls a little bit DANGER DO NOT LET VEHICLE ROLL OVER YOU.

We purchased a 1998 Cabriolet that had been hit in the rear. The car has mostly cosmetic damage to rear deck lid etc.. The car goes in drive no problem, however it will not go in reverese. Are there any...

the car not going into reveres has nothing to do with the smased rear but it may have bent the gear linkage or it could need to be adjusted,,,if the gear box was jolted hard,,,as for parts look on the net for car parts/brakers there are lots of them selling parts
or find a brakers yard near you who are braking you type of car up,,second hand parts are a lot cheaper than new parts

Yes so when I hold my foot on the break to shift from park to reverse or drive the car will jump. If you open the hood you can see the engine rock. Sumtimes you will have a similar feeling when the car...

A new and significant jump or jolt upon engaging the trans could mean you have a broken front engine mount. Your car has a transverse mounted engine with a big mount holding it at the front of the car. It this mount goes bad the engine can "twist" under the hood. This sudden twisting or torque reaction can be felt until the engine runs into something solid *(usually whats left of the engine mount).

Don't wait on this one....see a mechanic A.S.A.P. A damaged mount is only going to do more damage as the engine twists back and forth under the hood. Stressing out the other connections to the engine, i.e., electrical, fuel, exhaust. Leading to more damage.

Forced gear selector - now Spectra will not start

yes yes yes there s a newtral parking switch in those and you eitho bent or broke it off try puting the car in newtral not newtral you can see just go by feel shift the car into l1 try it then l2 try it
then d try it heck even try reverse and newtral
failing that you need a hays manual and a lot of time to crall arround eithor under your dash or hood depending what the book says
happy hunting and good luck
btw thats why all cars come with a parking or hand break dont be afraid to use it b4 you put your car in park it will save you a lot of problems in your tranny like bent parking pins from some moron bumping your car or just a hill or incline.
