Hi,
Not very difficult. Usually just a few sockets/wrenches and thats about it. Unbolt wires from starter and unbolt starter installation is reverse of removal. If you have any questions let me know. Also always make sure to disconnect the battery FIRST.
Thank you,
Lee

You have the tools? do it. Mitsubishi's aren't hard. I don't have a manual to tell you how. IMHO Fords are the worst. Well second if you happen to work on buses and semi's.

2006 Buick Terraza won't start changed battery still just clicks?

It may be the starter or wires to it . Jack the car up so you can hit the starter with a hammer or tire tool .have someone hold the key in the start position and hit the starter solid but not to hard. If it turns over or starts your starter is bad. If not look at the wires for damage. Hope this helps.

How hard is it to change the starter? Can it be done with standard tools and one the ground without ramps? Thanks.

Since the motor is located at a lower point in the engine it will require that you JACK up the vehicle so that you can access the starter motor. It is important that you must be able to work in such postion with the tools to remove the two bolts that are bolted on the starter. You will need socket spanners/ box tools to remove the bolts.

How do I change the starter in a 2000 Toyota Camry LE

i'm sure it's not the starter itself that is the problem, have the stater's solenoid checked...it might be stucked. It's quite a lot of work removing the starter but you can do it if you are willing enough to learn. You just need the right idea and tools to do it. Hope this will help save you bucks!

Can you tell me how to change the starter in an f150 1997 4 wheel drive truck I've cleaned the battery terminals and the starter wire ends from bottom of truck to the the starter. I have a new battery. I...

no special tools needed use a 1/2 inch or a 9/16 wrench for bolts but rule # 1 before you work on any electrical parts on your truck is to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery then take the starter off you 2 blots holding the starter to the engine take them off they maybe a little tight you my have use a little muscle once you take them out pull out the starter then you have to unscrew the cables use the same procedure to install I hope this information is of use GOOD LUCK

Hard or no start. convinced it's the starter.

check your conections on the battery if they are carroded then you need to clean them if they are not tight that could be a problem also.if that doesn't work make sure all cannections to starter and selanoid are tight and clean if that doesn't work then more than likely it is your starter but i have never changed a starter on that type of car but most are not to hard a couple of bolts but can't be for sure on how hard it would be.

its a *****. i am a mechanic and i have one of these and the starter is protected by a cover plate that requires a little more work than a normal starter but it depends on how much ability and tools you have. there are some torx drivers you will need.

How do i change the starter on a 1999 sr5 4runner

You'll need basic hand tools to change out the starter. The starter is usually held in place by 2 or 3 bolts. You'll need to make sure you note where the electrical connections go in order to replace them in the correct location following starter replacement. You'll have to get under the vehicle to replace the starter, even so, It shouldn't take more than an hour.
