Remove the old filter gasket and clean the surface area, replace with a delco pf47. Check sensor to see if it is leaking on to filter or filter housing to block is leaking or timing cover to block as ther is a high pressure passage there too. Reply

Vw chico keep blowing gasket of oil filter

There is a relieve valve inside the part that holds your oil filter. It sounds like it may be stuck open which causes too much oil pressure to be relieved on the filter causing it to blow. So this art needs to be taken off and inspected.

I have a 2001 chevy blazer and it keeps having high oil pressure and blows the oil filter gasket. What can I do to fix this?

replace the pcv valve in the truck.located on the valve cover,it gives the crankcase positive crankcase ventilation. sound like yours is stopped up.when you replace the oil filter, use a thin film of oil around the oil filter gasket before you install it. you'll find that it helps to seal the oil filter perfect.thank you for choosing fixya.com

93 PARK AVENUE OIL PRESSURE TO HIGH

If the oil filter was over torqued and the gasket was rolled off the filter's gasket grove would case the gasket to blow out. Case would be not lubricating the O ring gasket on the filter before installation would also case the gasket to come off the grove on the filter and the oil pressure pushing through the system would blow it out. Note: follow instructions on the oil filter prior to installations and check the gasket for leaks upon start up and warm up. Hope this help's.

I just changed the oil in my '98 dodge stratus and now the oil just drains out. I think it might be the rear camshaft seal but I'm not 100% sure. Anyone know how to replace that seal or any suggestions...

sound like drain plug is out or loose or leaking around oil filter at gasket did you remove all of the old oil filter gasket and did you prelube the gasket by putting oil on your finger and firmly seating the gasket

98 forester blows oil 2.5

You have a problem with a gasket, basically the gasket on the head of valves, then you only have to change the gasket, this a common problem when the gasket is broke or burned.
