You can make copies of your key but only to open the door. Good if you get locked out, but your ingnition will not work.

There are places other than the dealer that make copies of your keys and worik in the ignition, they are cheaper than the dealer, just look in the phone book.

Don't forget to rate this answer. Good Luck!!

Yes you can make copies of the key but bear in mind that if your key has the push button for the remote central locking you will have to go to the main dealer so they can give you a key that is programmed to your car.

Key fob in ignition reads Damaged Key

You have to contact the dealer for a damaged key or you could try to get a copy made from hardware store.

If you do not have a key to have copied you will have to get new lock cylinders for your ignition and trunk. If you just need them to be copied there are hardware stores that can do that for you.

My key broke to my Lexus es300 how can I order another

I would say the easiest and most reliable, and only way that i know, would be to visit your lexus dealer. They should be able to make you a new one. If the key is still in moderatly good condtion, i.e. the key broke just below the plastic finger holder, you might be able to take it to a hardware store like Dries or Ace hardware, etc and they might be able to make you a copy. Hope this helps

I would like to cut a spare key for my 02 plate civic. Can I get this done anywhere or should I only go to a dealer..?

If you mean, make a copy of a key, then try your local hardware store, or your superstore hardware store. If they have the the correct "blank", they can make a copy. If not, resort to the dealer. Hope this helps.

Copy of ignition key

If you are saying that you need a copy, there are a couple ways to do it. You can have one made at you local hardware store and take your chances on whether or not it will work well, or you can look at the key for the number on it, and order that key from your local Honda service center. The latter solution will cost more, but the key will work well.
Hope this helps you.

My car keys have snapped in half help

Take the pieces to a key shop at a hardware store. They can clamp the pieces together and make a copy. SAVE THE PIECES! Do not discard them.
Don't be alarmed if the copy doesn't seem to work. It will. You may need to "work" the key just right to make it work.
If it doesn't work just right to your satisfaction, get anothe rkey made, the same way with the pieces.
