Hello I have 1997 gmc jimmy 4x4 , I just 4 days go private sale but notice a oil leak underneath cannot tell where it's coming out from sum where up high from underneath motor

possible a rocker cover gasket that needs replacing
run your fingers around the edge and any wet oil indicates the leak
could also be oil that was splashed on the cover during an engine top up or oil change

Oil leaking heavy just above oil filter ,passenger side 2002 crv ,not coming from head oil leaking heavy passenger side above oil filter, not coming from head

If it is leaking at the oil filter the previous rubber gasket may have stuck to the block. When the new oil filter was installed then the gasket was doubled and will leak.

1985 s10 blazer 2.8L has muddy looking oil

Yes, muddy coolant means there is oil in it. Check it by dipping your finger into the coolant while it is cold and rub your fingers together. If it is oil, you will feel it right away, while rubbing your fingers.

2000 crv honda just got a new timing belt and water pump after a couple of days now it make a noise (loud clicking noise) when I start it up

The noise you describe may be due to hydraulic tappet leak back form a oil that is of the incorrect viscosity or a cheap oil filter that doe's not have an anti leak back valve in it .The noise is until the oil pressure builds up and makes the hydraulic tappets work properly.

I have a 2000 honda crv, and recently I've been smelling a burning smell when I'm driving. Also my brake light keeps going on and off when driving.

Had same brake light come on a 2009 CRV and it was the sensor in the brake fluid reservoir sticking. Try disconnecting one of the two wires going to the reservoir cap to see if it goes off. If it does, this is your problem there. As for the leak, this would be a separate problem and not related to the light coming on. A transmission could develop a leak for no reason at all and could be old age only. Have it checked at another shop since the guy who told you this doesn't seem to be sure what he's talking about if he's not sure to begin with.12_24_2012_5_13_34_pm.png

My 2000 honda crv is burning a lot of oil I jsut had and oil change 3 weeks ago and it needs more oil the light is on and I checked the oil. There is a small oil leek but do not know where it is but there...

Go to a trust worthy mechanic. They should be able to clean the undercarriage, and then add a UV fluorescent dye to your oil. After a couple of weeks, you go back and they can check the underside with a black light to find the leak.

My Honda CRV-2000 manual transmission does not

the clutch fluid being low means that there is a leak in the hydraulic system and that is why you cannot get the vehicle in gear. even if you refilled the resivour you still need to fix where the leak is coming from then manually bleed out any air in the system. air is compressable and liquid is not. if there is air in the system you are only compessing the air when you push the clutch down and it is not pushing the clutch. check the clutch master cylinder for leaks- its under the clutch fluid. also check the slave cylinder is bolted the the transmission.

Transmission oil is leaking and i used to turntransmission oil is leaking and i used to turn 2000 rpm now its 2000 rpm at 50mph

If the trans oil is low,the car wont go into top gear. The reason for your higher revs.Top up the transmission oil and recheck.Get the leak fixed and all should be ok.Hopefully.Hope this helps

My engine knocks loud and Í dont know what to

If the knocking is a 'tinging' sound...valves are shot. The Paseo has an issue with the head getting warped and leaking oil through the gasket, if the oil has been low too often for lengths of time the head heats and warps.
Open the oil cap and feel around inside with your finger (ensure engine is off and cooled first) rub your fingers together to feel for grit which would most likely be valve shavings. This should be easy to find since it's recently had an oil change.
Worse case scenario would be a rod broken but that would be a LOUD knocking/bonking sound and definitely expensive.
