Question about 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis
Don't worry. That is the light that tells you the vehicle's security system is armed - nothing more. Many Ford/Mercury vehicles have it, as does my 2004 Mercury Marauder.
You can verify this information at www.mercuryvehicles.com. Just click on the link for 'owners' then 'owners guide'.
Hope this helps!

Do you have an alarm system installed? These sound like the alarm indicator lights. They are supposed to deter theft and break ins.
