You need to pull the transmission and do an inspection.
Most likely the throw out bearing is bad or the clutch is shot.
If it is new - you put the clutch in backwards or you have a bad throwout bearing set up.
The only thing other than this is the clutch peddle cable could be broken but if it is - the clutch peddle will flop around.
