Fac. recommends 105,000 mile or 84 months (7years) which ever comes first. Then at 60,000 if you drive the car hard or under adverse conditions. Now this engine is called an "interference engine" there is a possibility of a valve hitting a piston if the belts breaks. which will cost more to repair. So if you are getting to the milage mark you know its over the 84 month mark which is 7 years, it might be time to have it replaced just to be safe. .

You definitly have a timing problem. I dont think its a fuel problem due to the age of your car. Its about past due for a timing belt/chain replacement.

Should I replace the timing belt & water pump at the 90k for my 2005 acura tl

Yes it would be a very good idea to change them all at once. You can't go wrong there because most timing belts and water pumps go out around 90-100,000 miles. Go for it I would.

Good Luck!
