1995 jeep wrangler clutch wont engage when running

If it's been sitting for a while, could be that the input shaft has rusted or something is worn out in the clutch itself. Make sure that the clutch master cylinder is full and that the slave and line isn't leaking as well.

Sounds like a bit of a problem, it might be your trough out bearing.... or your transmission might need a rebuilding... did this happen out of nowhere or has it been acting funny recently?

Did you have a look at the prop shafts universal joints if they are worn or dry? Also check the sliding joint for wear if the prop shaft has them.

1994 wrangler will not shift into gear when stopped but works just fine when moving.

No. The jeep moves when starting the engine as if the clutch isn't fully engaged, but only then. Sitting idle with the clutch depressed it is fine.

1995 jeep wrangler, when shifting gears, having trouble going into gears.grinding bad.what could it be...

If the transmission oil is full and the clutch master cylinder is full, feels normal and does not slip going up steep grades, likely the gears in the transmission are worn (usually synchros). All items above contribute to proper shift engagement.

ck the condition of the tranny fluid. If the fluid is very dark, it will need changing. Another problem with the jeep auto tranny is that if the fluid has not been changed in a long time, the clutch material will wear and clog the tranny filter inside the pan.If there is alot of clutch material in the pan and you change the fluid and filter, sometimes the tranny won't work because the clutches are worn out too much.

Problem going into gear

Your clutch system works the same as brakes do. The necessity to bleed tells you that there is a malfunction permitting air into the system. Check where the pedal rod goes into the firewall under the dash, the line itself, and the slave unit (some are inside the bellhousing...look for fluid dripping from bottom to verify if leaking) Not unlike brake master, they can also internally bypass. If you find no leaks, change master. Bleed system and you should be fine

Wont go into gear at all when car is running

CHECK THE SLAVE CYLINDER RESERVOIR ON THE DRIVERS' SIDE FIREWALL. IT MAY BE IN NEED OF SOME BRAKE FLUID. IT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENGAGEMENT OF THE CLUTCH. IF IT IS LOW, THEN YOU HAVE A LEAK SOMEWHERE. A THOROUGH CHECK OF THE HYDRAULIC CLUTCH SYSTEM WILL LOCATE THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK. HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA AND FOR AN HONEST RATING. GOOD LUCK

1991 jeep wrangler sahara shifting promblems

Your clutch is not disengaging. If it a hydrolic clutch chk. the fluid in resavor, Or slave cyl. for the clutch is bad, Or it has got air in it and needs to be bleed. This is a clutch problem, nothing wrong with trans. If its a manual clutch linkage its an ajustment thing. My best guess if its hydrolic slave cyl. went bad, or resavor is out of fluid.
