We have a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. My question is: when the engine is running, does the radiator fan run constantly or intermittently?

electric fans start to operate when the coolant temp reaches around 88 c and will run continuously while the coolant is above that temp
if you have ac then there is a fan that cools the condenser in front of the radiator and that will cycle according to the ac compressor cycles

Cooling fan relay location for a 1992 corvet

the air con fan comes on with the air con switch. the engine cooling fan comes on when the engine temp. censer reaches operation temp. most times the air through the radiator when driving is enough to keep the censer cool and the fan not working if you stop at lights for any length of time it will come on.

Which thermostat do I purchase for my 1994 Dodge Stealth (automatic SOHC)? Choices are Beck/Arnley 170 Degrees F, Stant 170 Degrees F, Stant 180 Degrees F, Stant 195 Degrees F.

either of these manufactures are good just install one with the manufactures recommended temperature rating,as the wrong temp range can change how the car will run.example gas mileage, running temperature, cooling fan operation etc.

1991 Dodge Stealth overheating

if you think the fans are your problem, first thing is to check the system with a hand computer, with that you can activate the fans,or run test on each part of the system.
your fans will not come on until 212 degrees.so you need a thermometer to verify temp of engine water, next check the engine temp sensor,if it doesn't see that temp it won't tell the computer to turn the fans on.if you have checked the fuses with a test light, for the fans, and the fan relay.one fan is a manual override,it will come on as soon as you turn the A/C on,then they have low speed and high.

My 1998 buick regal non turbo 3800 radiator cooling fans will not work when the car gets to operating temp. The fan motors will work whtn the AC is on. I think it could be the temp sensor that turns on the...

the electric cooling fan for the radiator will not turn on when the engine reaches normal operating temp, its only supposed to come on if the engine temp goes over the normal temp. (around 220 degrees)
it is normal for the fan to come on any time the a/c or defroster is turned on.

1992 Dodge stealth cooling fans wont work

Unplug you're fans.. Take some wires, ( i used speaker wire2.gif. ) Have someone help you, :) connect it to you're fan and then to the battery one to ground one to power. If you're fan doesn't turn on then you're motor in the fan is dead.

2nd.Check you're relays, Easy way to do this is switch them around one byone... They can't all be bad :P and if it turns on.. then you have abad relay:P

3rd. Does you're Temp gauge work? There are a few sensors That could need to be replaced.
