It does not matter. It only flows through there and and will cause any issue if it is "backwards". As long as it is cooling.

Where and how do you get to the lower radiator hose on 99 Cadillac sts

Re: Where is the lower radiator hose?(99)
Stand in front of the car, open the hood, and face the engine.

On the left hand side of the radiator, at the top, is the upper radiator hose; which goes to the upper water pump connection.

On the right hand side of the radiator, from the bottom, is the lower radiator hose; which goes to the lower water pump connection.

Where is the lower radiator hose 99
It is a forum and goes on about draining the radiator.

It doesn't matter. But usually the left side of the cooler lines go with the left side of the radiator. Cooler lines run both ways, unless you deal with Dodge, stupid check valves. I take them out....

My hoses to the radiator are leaking transmission fluid

yup many radiators have a transmission cooler ...would just check the seating of the acorn connections and integrity of the pressure hoses...if you have been a bit heavy on the torque you may have stripped the threads....ugh...!

91 nissan pickup radiator transmission lines do not connect on the new radiator that went from nipple to thread.

Assuming you have the RIGHT radiator, you can adapt from the nipples to a 3/8" hose fitting(brass preferably),and cut the lines to accept a hose and clamp type connection. (use good quality hose such as low pressure power steering or fuel hose.
Before I accepted this radiator, though, I'd take a look at another brand radiator or another one from a different store and be sure they gav

Crossing the lines would not cause a leak. i think you need to take a good look at the lines and see if its the connection to the radiator or a rusted line or bad hose, some of theses came with the trany lines being all rubber hose from ****** to radiator and some were rubber and then change to metal tubing , anyway it doesnt matter which you have but i will bet its leaking from the lines , it may be the line itself or the connection at the radiator, clean the area with some engine cleaner and rinse off then run the engine and watch where the leak comes from, maybe the line just needs tightening. good day.

Removal and replace radiator on 1990 ford taurus V6 3.8L w/AC

  • Remove the pressure cap. Place it aside for the new radiator.

  • Drain the coolant into a drain pan. The drain valve is located at the bottom of the radiator. Twist it counterclockwise until the fluid starts to drain. Close the valve when the coolant stops draining.

  • Locate the transmission lines at the bottom of the radiator. Ensure you mark both of the lines so you will know which one goes where. Unscrew these with a line wrench. Plug the line with a towel to prevent the transmission fluid from leaking out.

  • Unscrew the radiator hoses at the top and bottom of the radiator. The hoses are held on by hose clamps that can be loosened with a flat head screwdriver. Slide the hoses off the radiator with your fingers after the hose clamp is loosened.

  • Pry the overflow hose off with your fingers. The hose slides over a tube at the neck of the radiator.

  • Unscrew the mounting bolts at the base of the radiator. There will be one bolt on each side which can be unbolted with a socket wrench.

  • Unsnap any sensors connected to the radiator. They will have quick connect fittings that can be undone by separating the tabs and pulling apart.

  • Unscrew the fan shroud with a socket wrench. The fan shroud will slide off the top of the radiator. You can also remove the cooling fan as it is held onto the fan clutch by four small bolts. You will need a socket wrench to remove.

  • Lift the radiator out from the hood. You may need assistance as the radiator can be heavy and awkward to lift.

I am installing a new radiator into a 2000 Hyundai Accent GL

    Try this.
If the two hoses are connected to the correct locations on the transmission, take the shorter hose and see which fitting it reaches on the radiator. If it reaches only one, you have the answer.
The radiator is used to cool the transmission fluid.
