Are you wanting to know how to remove the fuel filter? If so, remove the nut from one end with a 2 flare nut wrenches. The other end is called a quick connect. You can buy a special tool used for this connection or you can use a small screwdriver to remove it. Look at the connection and you will see a green tab. Push that tab up toward the trunk and the filter will come our of the connection. Be careful and do not damage the connection as you have to use it again. Before doing anything depressurize the system. Look for a schroder valve on the fuel rail. Will look something like a tire valve stem with a black plastic cap on it. Remove the cap and push the valve in to release pressure. Also loosen the gas cap and then tighten it back up. Be prepared for a spray of fuel when you disconnect the filter.

What is the fix for a rear defroster that doesn't work?

when you push on the rear defroster button does it light up if so then you will have to use a test light and check for broken window grid wires on the rear window. you ground one end of the test light and using the other end start at one side of the window that lights it up then follow the grid line from one side to the other at 2 inch increments, the light should light up but get dimmer as you test the length of the grid, then go to the next grid line and repeat. when the light stops lighting this is were there is a break in the grid is and needs to be repaired. you can get window grid repair kits for this.

How to change the fuel pump

You have to empty the fuel tank somehow (siphon the gasoline out into a fuel can so it doesn't sit around and cause fumes to concentrate where they could be ignited). Jack the rear axle of the car up and put it on jack stands for safety. Disconnect the filler line and fuel lines that go toward the front of the car from the fuel tank, unbolt the 2 straps holding the fuel tank, lower the fuel tank (take care not to damage any of the lines or hoses as it comes down, take off the locking ring, remove the fuel fuel sending assembly, disassemble it, then reassemble with the new fuel pump, place the assembly back into the tank and put the locking ring back on, then put the fuel tank back in, reconnect the fuel lines, fill the tank with just a few gallons, test to see if it starts, take it off jack stands. Where is the fule fliter on 2001 pontiac grand am the car keeps dieing at stop signs and feels like is no power when you step on the gas

Your symptoms do not indicate a problem with the fuel filter, but it may be a good idea to change it anyway. Your filter is under car, center, below trunk area, rear of fuel tank, mounted in fuel line.
To better fix your problem, can you tell me if the engine light is on?
When you say no power, how bad? Will it go on the highway? How fast?

2001 PONTIAC GRAND AM SE, WON'T CRANK,RAN MY GAS LOW

Sounds like air in fuel line. Purge fuel line. By "crank", do you mean engine spins but won't catch? Try starter fluid in intake.
