Did you reuse the original key,and ignition cylinder? the original key has a chip in it. if your using a diff. key,it needs to be programed so the security system recognizes it.if everything works but it wont crank thats probably the problem. the security light may also flash very fast or poss. stay on constant too.
dealership can do it pretty quickly, but you going to need at least two keys to program. or switch out the ignition lock cylinder with the original one

1989 ford E 150 wont start after replaceing stering column

You have a main wiring harness that plugs in to the column. Verify this is tight. That harness powers everything, including your ignition. If you removed your ignition and reinserted it into the new column, then verify it is in the correct position and also locked in the correct position. The E-150 could also have the shifter on the column? It is possibly not lined up right and isn't in park. Check shift position and verify it is in park or neutral.

Alarm keeps going off key fob wont work

definitely there's a short circuit in your wiring harness, I suggest you to check wiring harness starting from the steering column removing it's covers carefully afterwards you can inspect under the dashboard. Also check the wires starting from battery to the fuses and the main harness which goes inside to the dash board area. Definitely you will get an idea where is the fault.

When i install my key in the ignition and turn it on i have no dash startup or signals so the truck wont start everything works except dash and gauges

check your fuses both places under dash and underhood if not that check if you have spark to the sparkplugs if no then have the brain checked (autozone) checks them for free. if ok then check ignition switch that sits on the stering column

The security sistem locked up my car does not start or move

There is a plug in the stering column that controls that. If you push on the brake then the gear shift will move the plug has malfunctioned and now you can not get key out. if you take off the plastic cover under the stering column and unplug this it should fix the problem. I had the same problem it is a safety switch. once unplugged you will not have to depress the brake to move gears.

95 ford explorer xlt, all the blinkers quit working after I had an oil change and new tires installed. We bought a blinker relay [for the hazard lights] but can not find where it is.

Just fixed my flashers today on my 95 explorer, All my lights worked but no turn signals or emer flashers. First make sure all lights are working. Next check the fuses on the left side of the dash, I believe # 10 & # 11, if all is good you can replace the flasher relay, which actually called a flasher unit, or just flasher, Note : that did'nt work for me, but it is located under the dash even with the stering column, it is a small yellow or green box, mine was attached by plastic clips, just twist back an forth till it comes off, now let it hang down , being carefull not to pull on the wires, and use a screw driver to disconnect the box, its not very easy, the New flasher unit will have 5 prongs and the old will probibly have 6 prongs, don't worry the small 6th one doesn't connect to anything anyway. just plug the new one in and put it back up under the dash. My Problem was simply the emer flasher button on top of the stering column it must have a loose connection, because all I did after all that was to lift it up with the key on and jiggle it then pushed it back down , I turned the turn signal on and nothing, then left the turn signal on and jiggled the emer flasher button again when it was down, and I had turn signals, no problem since, but remember to leave the button down!!
