Could be a faulty Mass Air Flow Sensor, Idle Air Control Motor, just needs a tune-up, bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, bad spark plug, faulty computer... hard to tell. Take it to a shop to figure out what is wrong with it and if you are able, fix it yourself, otherwise let the shop fix it.

check electrical connectors to transmission sometimes wires break and loose connection also check to see if the spaded ends are closed well enough to make a good connection. if all good then check the harness for chaffing wires if none found then suspect it must be the tranny computer.
