Where is the flasher unit for 1999 mercury mountaineer?


It's the same flasher unit for both turn signals AND emergency flashers. Even though one side works, the other won't. If you have a good fuse for the turn signals, then replace the flasher unit.

It is located behind the steering wheel to get it replaced I am not sure you would have to ask a ford dealership

They have done away with the flashers. They started to build them in with the turnsignal switch or the hazard switch.

2004 Mercury Mountaineer Power windows are not working. What could be the problem? The owners manual shows a large 30amp circuit breaker located under the hood. Could this be the problem?


they can go bad-swap it out with another that you don't need, just to try and see if it is the relay-listed are relays that might only control, for instance, the rear window defroster-generally, relays are all the same, some just get used heavily and some don't (i.e., ABS)-worth a try

In mountaineer it is located on the steering column right behind the diagnostic plug.

your flasher relay is located in the central junction box, which is located under the left side of your dash and it also contains fuses for your turn signals and many other components

The signal flasher is located on/near the steering column. Revove the cover that is located between the steering wheel and the insturment panel. The Flasher is yellow

1997 mercury mountaineer flasher location


Its usually inside in your fuse compartment. It would be a round fuse I believe silver in most cars. Check you owners manual and it will tell you exactly which one is the flasher.
