Air and heat blower will not come on. 1998 sonoma 2.2l

start by checking fuse. if fuse is good, aquire a test light, check the test light on the battery to make sure the test light works. Power to ground = light. access blower motor under pass-side dash panel.(probablly have to remove underdash cover, secured with pop-in style fasteners.) locate blower motor. 2 wires w/connector Purple-power, black-ground. check for power at purple w/test light on known good ground, with ign on, and blower switch on high. if it has power, hook clip of test light to a power source, ( + on battery w a jumper wire) and probe black wire, with test light. if no light, jumper that wire to a good ground. if it lights, you have a bad b-motor. if no light on power side of blower motor, and fuse is good, check power to swith. blower circuit may have 2 fuses. 1 for high and a 2nd for the lower speeds. if switch has power to it, and power is transfered to another wire when switched, suspect the blower motor resistor. How do I determine if my my switch on my Blower motor is bad or if my Blower Motor needs replaced. Right now nothing works.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor itself. Then jump 12v tol one of the motor leads and induce ground to the other on the motor. If the motor spins, it's good. Then check to see that you are getting 12v and a good ground from the harness side of that connector that you detached from the motor. That will tell you if the rest of the system is working up to the motor.

Drivers window wont go up

Either the motor or the switch is bad.
Put a test light on the motor connector from the door
operate the switch. If you use an LED test light like they sell at walmart, it lights up red and green.
Up will light one color and down will light another color.
If it does not light up or it only lights one color, replace the switch.
If it lights up red one way and green the other or the standard bulb test light lights up both directions off the motor connector when operation the switch,
Replace the motor in the door.

2000 dodge dakota sport blower motor won't work

Hi my name is Allen!

This is a very hard motor to get out!

This will save you time, if you have a test light and jumper cables, hook the jumper cables to the battery, then hook your test light to the positive side of the jumper cable, turn the ignition key on and turn the blower motor on. Next at the blower motor connector touch the test light to the negative side of the connector if the test light, lights up you have a good ground. NEXT; move the test light to the negative side of the jumper cable and test the positive side of the connector if it lights, you have power coming to the motor, if you have both power and ground you need to replace the motor, if no light on one side you need to repair the one that doesn't light up.

Heat/AC motor just quit while driving. Fuses are okay. what is the problem.

You need to check the wiring to the blower motor located under the right side of the dash behind the glove box. The most common failure on these is the wiring to the blower motor resistor. It is mounted in the duct near the blower motor. Check for a melted connector. If this is good, use a test light connected across the terminals of the connector that plugs into the motor. As the blower speed is increased at the control knob the test light should get brighter the higher the speed selected. If is does not light the blower motor resistor should be checked for an open. It is does light the blower motor is bad, it should read approx 50-60 ohms when checked with an ogm meter.
