Question about 1989 Isuzu Amigo

My amigo is back firing at low rpms. Can't figure out why. New plugs and wires. hard to start but as long as I keep rpms up it runs fine.

Check fuel pressure....(see repair manual in local library) could be a bad fuel filter. Re-check firing order.

Water or contaminants in the fuel system or possibly a bad plug wire? It can also have developed a vacuum leak at the intake manifold or an emissions system failure is possible first check your sparkplug wires that's the cheapest route! I feel like it might just be a plug wire is broken and is jumping spark or the timing belt may be stretched? Look at your mileage if around 100,000 miles then plugs and wires may be at fault?

had a 1999 suburban do the same thing the new pump came complete with sending unit and a new end plug the connecters are bad about getting moister in them at the top of pump and corroding did you change the plug part stores should sell these if you did not get one i found this out after changing my pump 3 times same thing also found cheap pumps the wiring going through the pump plastic at plug is very small and gets hot and melts when it cools it shrinks back and makes connection runs for a while then stops

Have the fuel pressure tested. If it's low from a tired, old pump, you know-new pump and new fuel filter. Low pressure also causes hard starting.

the cat converter if good can eat the nasty gases of a bad running engine, in fact that its #1 job that.
so it won. see? and overheats too, if rich enigne,
ever get tuneup this decade? sparks filters.etc.

that is a misfire, is spark plugs are old , how can it not be is the question./
ahhh you do use the diagnostic jumper
code 15, so
if the collant really is 180f Using and IR thermal gun then it IS.
and the ECT is bad, or wires to it bad.
and if true, sure it sucks fuel, all EFI does that if ECT lies.

Low Coolant Temperature{5}{7}

the ECU reads like 300 OHM hot
if it reads like 50,000 ohms it thinks its in Sibera.
so goes rich as H3LL to burn Siberian fuel.
really.. but your not in Siberia i bet.
its just a temperature sensor.
the code 15 i think means the wires are broken to it.
the coolant must be full, or the ECT will lie, big time,
it cant measure AIR temps ever, not in the least.

im betting ECT wires fail off or cut.

Had tune up done on my 96 century new plugs,, wires fuel filter to solve a mis fire. Replaced coil pack on same cylinder. Runs fine until it warms up then the engine light starts flashing, and it seems to...

you could have a bad tork converter clutch and you could have a bad injector. also the new wire or plug could be defective but is not likely. Did you gap the new plug?

My honda civic 1998 ex 1.6 liter is hard to start.This problem just started after letting the car sit for five days. It is not an all the time thing though. It also stalls at low rpms. The car was running...

since your changing the wires and plug there is no reason not changing the cap and rotor in your distributor..i might check the battery voltage if you have full battery charge and then if not you might check the alternator..anyways do not forget to check your timing also at the back of you intake manifold there is a idle speed you might pull that one out too clean if check for carbon deposit goodluck.
