Mazda 2003 Protege driver's seat belt no longer locks in place. Can I fix this?? Thanks.

No. it automaticly locks. it;'s a safety feature, bunch of ********, to make you waste money. but it's true. you need to replace it. the manufacturer designed it that way. no joke.

My 2002 Mazda Protege driver side seat belt receiver won't engage with the seat belt (it won't hold). Is there a warrenty form to have this fixed for free at the dealer
first try blowing it out with a air hose,, if that doesn't work, save yourself some money , and just grab one from a junk yard , there are no warranty statements that I could locate for your question

check the recall list for auto, take it to a dealer and tell them problem, a reputable dealer will will repair without conflict. If not report problem to mazda and express this safety item is not working . good luck.

no their isnt ,not without fitting the the sensors under the seat ,What you have done is totally illegal as it its not complying with the certificate of homoglonation issued for this vehicle .When this vehicle is presented for its annual mechanical inspection it will fail for being altered and not original

Driver's seat belt sticking - 2003 Mazda Protege
Not really, you just need to be carefull not to brake the plastic covers but you can get them separate than use a thin spanner and you should be able to do it without removing the seat.

Unbolt it from the floor board and slid it out of the seat.

My 2002 protege has some clutch issues. probably slave cylinder but i was hoping it was the return spring on pedal assembly. I started poking around and out pooped a white plastic horseshoe washer it seems to have something to do with the return spring because now spring is kinda loose. Can the pedal live without it..or how do I get it back in there.Im a big guy and there not much room to work under there or even really see where it goes...help!
