You can fix it at home if you have basic tools such as socket sets, pliers and wrench sets etc.also will need screw drivers and a jack if you have these things you are all set for the job.first if its rear drum brakes try adjusting brakes to just drag against the brake drum, this might be all you need . good luck vote if this helps you

I need to find antilock brake fuse 2000 chevy impala

Fuses do not fix anything,do you know that

If a fuse has blown you need to check that
circuit for the reason the fuse went

Check all the fuses,at least the ones you can see under the hood,in the front distribution box

If your asking because you have a dash light on ,forget it

You need a repair shop with a scanner used in Enhanced
Mode just to get ABS Codes & fix the problem

That is not an emergency brake, it is for parking only. Get this checked outby a brake shop or general repair shop ASAP, DO NOT DRIVE IT!

2009 Impala- cna't get it out of park. We have

This happened to my dad's F150 and it was the ABS fuse. He had a ABS warning light on the dash, so you might have the same. I would check any fuse related to the brakes and instruments lights. Hopefully it is a fuse issue, which is a quick fix. If not, it could be a solenoid lock which does not allow the shifter to move without the brake being depressed.

My 2006 impala is stuck in park and I need to know how to get it out of park to get it to the shop?

More the nlikely your brake light switch is defective or loose.
This switch also controls the release of the shifter so you cannot shift from park unless you're stepping on the brake.
The switch is located in the brake pedal up ubder the dash.

Turn the key to unlock the the system but do not start the vehicle, shift into neutral and start, you should be able to go from there.

Check or replace the switch as necessary. Be careful though as your brake lights may also not work.

Broke parking brake cable. Need to release park brake to get it to shop for repairs.

You need to lower the underdash shroud. Couple 7mm nuts hold it on. Look to the left at the parking brake pedal. Follow along a black sort of tube to the end. That end will have a cable comming out of it. Follow the cable. The cable is attached to the parking brake release lever. Pull the cable or the release handle and the parking brake should release.

I checked for a TSB and there isn't one for this issue. I have not heard of it either. If it were mine, I just wouldn't use it. Which cable? Ay park brake or under body?

2006 Chevy Impala stuck in park

When you turn ignition on it releases a cable that is attached to the shifter also the shifter has a solenoid attached to it that is released when you step on the brake. Both times that I had the problem of button stuck and cant shift out of park the solenoid was sticking and wouldnt release .
