SOURCE: How far can you drive on a spare tire ''donut''.

I drove from Norfolk to past Baltimore on my donut at 65mph. PAINFUL. I stopped every 100 miles to check the donut. I probably should replace it.

SOURCE: 2003 toyota Matrix code p0441 and p0446...need help

p0441 - Evaporative emission control system Incorrect purge flow. can be caused by a lot of things and is usually related to a small leak in the emission control evap system, try replacing the gas cap and see if it helps, if not, the system needs to be tested for a leak with the scantool or a leak tester or both.
usually you will see p0440 p0441 and p0446 together but before anything replace your gas cap and besure to tighten it down when you gas up the vehicle, 90% of the time with those codes either a loose gas cap of bad gas cap gasket is the problem

Otherwise - Might be a canister leak, defective VSV valve or hoses, bad gascap seal.

I doubt it's a transmission problem, it's more likely to be a wheel bearing issue, get another opinion at another shop or the toyota dealer.

How to change a tire on a 1991 toyota. i can't get the four wheel lock-in ornament off to get the tire off replace it with the spare

I presume you mean the special nut that fits on the locking bolt holding the wheel on? The only suggestion I can give you is to pay visit to your local Toyota dealer and try to beg and borrow one unless you know someone who has the same type. Will help you further if you give more info.

My son's Toyota Matrix 2003 has a air conditioner pump with bad bearings that are about to sieze and fry the belt. Can a shorter belt be used to bypass the pump to keep him on the road till he can afford...

yes,as toyota make this car for the world market there is going to be somewhere that uses a shorter belt without the ac pump being fitted.finding which market/size of belt fits is going to be the problem cos toyota dealers are only interested in the cars THEY sell of the forecourt."matrix" may not be the name used for another market.(toyotaj.co.jp is the main website)

2008 Camry 4cyl tire pressure warning light on!!!!!!!!

Hello.

Do you have a full-size spare tire? If so, it too is checked via the Tire Pressure Warning System. Perhaps it is low, this is quite commonly omitted when setting tire pressures. If you have a temporary spare tire, it is not checked. If you have no full-size spare, one of the TWPS sensors may have been damaged by your tire changer. This can happen very easily, if the changer is not careful whilst dis-mounting the tires. A Toyota dealership has a special service tool that will check each of the sensors for output, while on the car. If a sensor is found to be bad, the tester will find it.

I have a 2008 highlander hybrid limited

Contact the Toyo company. toyota will not help you on this one. You need to check to see if there is unusual shredding or peeling or possibly chunks coming off the tires. That is what happened with mine at 14K miles and I am in the process of getting them replaced. Toyota service told me they thought it was normal wear. It was not. After I contacted Toyo, they told me to go to a toyo dealer and have them call the company back. They offered me 100% if I put the same A20 tire onthe vehicle and 70% (100% for unused spare) if I put the new Toyo HT. I chose the latter since it has a 60K mile warranty. What I also found out is the A20 tire is not the same one you can buy now. The new one is the A20A. The original A20 was made specifically for Toyota at their request as an OEM tire. Toyota should have some liability in this and I am fighting them for the 30% cost, but am not holding my breath they will help.
Then only manufacturer of the 245/55R19 is Bridgestone and Toyo at this time.
